Over time, the practice evolved from documentation into an art form. Rather than producing a literal image, I embraced abstraction, allowing the patterns, marks, and impressions of the crab to create a record of its presence.  Crabs are more than familiar coastal animals—they are part of the complex web of life that keeps ocean ecosystems healthy. Their survival depends on clean water, thriving habitats, and balanced marine environments. The fragile impressions in this work remind us that ocean life leaves traces that are easy to overlook and even easier to lose.
